Bill Inmon Bill Inmon, is thought of as the "father of the data warehouse" and co-creator of the "Corporate Information Factory." He has over twenty-eight years of experience in database technology management and data warehouse design. He is known globally for his seminars on developing data warehouses and has been a keynote speaker for every major computing association and many industry conferences, seminars, and tradeshows. Bill has spent almost thirty years developing solutions to enterprise information challenges. He has authored 50 books and over 500 articles in major publications. Mr. Inmon holds two software patents following the creation of software and web services companies. Mr. Inmon currently directs BILLINMON.COM, an industry portal for data warehouse professionals. He continues to speak and advise private clients globally. Bill Inmon continues to develop reference enterprise architectures including the Corporate Information Factory and the forthcoming Government Information Factory with Dan Meers. Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Yale University, and his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from New Mexico State University. He makes his home in Colorado.
Dan Meers Dan Meers has spent almost twenty years implementing solutions to enterprise information challenges. He has co-authored two books and several articles and presentations for industry publications and portals. Mr. Meers began his partnership with Bill Inmon in 1998 as a seminar presenter and partner. Mr. Meers created the "Warehouse to Web" strategy for Inmon Seminars still in use by industry vendors. Mr. Meers subsequently collaborated on extensions of the Corporate Information Factory (CIF), first published by Bill Inmon, Claudia Imhoff and Ryan Souza. Mr. Meers is now President of Inmon Meers Group and directs the collaborative consulting partnership with KPMG Consulting. Dan is currently collaborating with Bill Inmon and others on a forthcoming book from John Wiley & Sons, several research and white papers and information infrastructure projects in retail, finance and telecommunications. It is in his role as consultant for billInmon.com that Dan regularly applies the Corporate Information Factory to vendor and end-user client computing situations. Dan speaks to public and private groups on topics including e-business, data warehousing and customer centricity. Dan also has numerous industry and educational training certifications and regularly engages in continuing education. |
